The first version of the program, called the Veterinary Clinic was established in April 1996. Friend, Tom Rawski ("Speak") came one night and said: "Listen, there is an application to write. It is suspected to be finished this weekend, but I believe the customer can wait for two weeks ". Tom brought the project of the system on A5 sheet of paper. The first version was completed in a month. And basically since then we are doing only minor fixes...
So was the first program to use for animal care centre written under Windows. Initially, the system had a very simple set of functions: recording the visits, vaccinations, used drugs and issuing receipts and invoices for services rendered.
After three years of systematic development of it stable, but gained a form of advertising in the magazine, and at the same time a very flattering review Veterinary in the most popular then the monthly "PC World", where the program has received the recommendation of the publishing house, have caused more interest and a sudden increase in the popularity of the program.
Ever-changing regulations and growing user requirements have resulted in the need to redesign the system. In 2000, they released a brand new program: Department of 2000. Technologically, it was a revolution: the backrest on the Delphi programming language allowed for quick change and modern user interface. Change the internal structure of the system, and at the same time, the use of past experience for the success of the project. Very flattering analysis program in Veterinary publications and articles in the veterinary Store contributed to popularization program.
At that time, the program became a topic of research for students of the University of Economics in Wroclaw. He also permanently to the topic of computer science at the University of WARSAW, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in Olsztyn and in Warsaw.
In 2003, the provisions of the new law take effect of the pharmaceutical form. They required a detailed supply and inventory tracking. Many users had already quite substantial data sets (60 000-80 000 thousand visits), which resulted in problems with the network increasingly work with the data. All this forced the rise of a new generation: the clinic of XP. The System has been completely redesigned for 2002 Clinic. First of all, based on the SQL database server Interbase, Firebird, and later.
The year 2004 is the wide opening of the system to collaborate with external entities:
- import invoices in 14 different formats with all the great warehouse in Poland
- cooperation with the Polish Towarzystem the identification of animals in the transmission and reading of information from a central database of marked animals
- the synchronization module that allows for independent work in offices or on the laptop at work site and subsequent merger in one database so the data entered
- module orders, automate work with wholesalers
Currently (December 2006) system has over 150 tables to completely do you parameterize his work and adapted to the individual needs of both large and small clinics clinics. Is used in parallel work even on 16 positions (clinic of Dr. Wąsiatycza).
